insist on selling only quality products - we continuously monitor the
quality of our offerings and eliminate those products and suppliers that do

Q: What is the typical turn around time?
- It depends on the particular item.
An overwhelming majority of the items can be delivered in about 1 week. Some items, such as special order, back-order, or
from far-away suppliers, take longer. A better estimate will be
provided at the time ordering. You can also inquire about availability
by emailing or calling us.
Q: What is the catch on your Free Delivery
& Free Assembly Offer? What about walk-up apartments?
- There is no catch. The only
conditions are: 1) a purchase value of $200 or higher; and 2) within 5
boroughs of NYC. Delivery to walk-up apartment is also free. However, delivery & assembly
for walk up apartments can be strenuous, and our delivery
staff appreciates a small gratuity for a job well done.
Q: I live outside of NYC. What is your
- We serve the entire US and Canadian
markets. We deliver with our own trucks to most of
Tri-State for a minimal fee. An estimate can be provided with your zip
code and approximate purchase amount. We always include free assembly
service when items are delivered with our own truck. We also
ship nationwide via
freight forwarders. We make every effort to keep the shipping cost to
a minimum, and will consider paying for part of the shipping cost for large
orders. Please send us the item(s) that you are interested
in to get an shipping estimate.
Q: Do you deliver on weekends? On the date
of delivery, when can we expect you to arrive? My building requires
a certificate of insurance...
- In order to provide you with maximum
flexibility and convenience, we deliver on weekends as well.
Because our trucks make multiple deliveries to various locations on any
given day, it is difficult for us to accommodate a specific time.
However, on the day of delivery, our driver usually provides you with an
advance courtesy notice before arriving. If you cannot wait
at home, we encourage you to give us a mobile/work number where our
driver can call you in advance (30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc,
in advance as per your request) so that you will have enough time to get home. We are usually
unable to accommodate time frames of less than 4 hours. If your
building has specific delivery hours, we need to know in advance. If
your building requires a certificate of insurance, please have your
management office, or yourself, email (email@example.com) or fax
(212-274-9119) all the pertinent information to us at least a couple of
business days prior
to delivery. There is a $50 fee for our insurance company to issue a
certificate for delivery coverage.
Q: Your offers seem too good to be true - your competitors sell comparable items for much more, charge for delivery,
and when they deliver, they don't assemble the furniture, or else they charge an
exuberant fee for this extra service - how do you do it?
- We at Downtown Furniture (DTF) understand
the amount of hassle and expense that can come with moving to or furnishing
a place. We strive to make the experience as easy, fun, and most
importantly, affordable as possible.
we provide the much needed but usually rather costly delivery & assembly
service free of charge. We source a good portion of our goods
directly, which enables us to cut out layers of middlemen and transfer the
savings to our customers. We also go to great lengths to keep our own
overheads low, and pass on the savings. Our offers are
amazingly good but real - take
us up and see for yourself.
Q: Do you have a showroom? What are the
hours? Do you have everything in the showroom?
- Yes, we have a conveniently located
showroom in Manhattan accessible by 9 major Subway lines. We
are open 7 days a week from 9:30am - 8:30pm. While we have a rather
large showroom with many items on display, we do not have everything due to
space limitation (after all, the total items we carry are in the thousands).

- Yes, we offer a 1 year, no payment, no
interest, same as cash financing program via GE Money Bank. Details

Q: I am moving to New York, can we specify
furniture to be delivered on my move in date?
- Yes. We understand that moving to a
new place can be very stressful and we are here to help reduce the amount of
hassle you have to deal with. Just pick out the pieces you like and put down
a deposit for them. We will then procure and hold your purchase in our
warehouse. When you are ready to move in, we will send our crew to
deliver and assemble everything for you at no extra charge. This way, you
will have a fully furnished home on the same day you land in NY. You
can't make it any easier than that!
